Embed the SignetX contract generation widget in your WordPress site using a simple shortcode. No coding required — just install, enter your App ID, and add [signetx] to any page.
If you run a WordPress site and want to offer AI-powered legal contract generation to your users, this plugin lets you do it in minutes — no development, no API integration, no server-side code.
You don't need to write PHP, JavaScript, or call any APIs. Install the plugin, add a shortcode, and the widget appears on your page — fully functional.
Contract generation uses your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key. SignetX never charges you per generation — you pay your AI provider directly at their rates.
NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, employment agreements, privacy policies, and more. Choose which templates appear in your widget. All generated by AI and ready to sign.
Match the widget to your site's look — custom colors, fonts, and logo. Your users see your brand, not ours.
Generated contracts can be signed directly in the widget. No separate e-sign tool needed — generation and signing in one flow.
Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder — if it supports shortcodes, it works. Just paste [signetx] anywhere.
Download a pre-configured WordPress plugin ZIP from your developer dashboard. The plugin comes with your App ID baked in.
Before installing the WordPress plugin, you need a SignetX developer account and an app. Here's the full setup:
Go to signetx.net/signup and create an account. Choose the Developer Free plan to start — it's free and includes 100 API requests per day.
SignetX uses your own AI keys — we never charge you for generation. Go to Developer Dashboard → AI Keys and add either:
You can also set your preferred AI model and temperature in Settings → AI Preferences.
Go to Developer Dashboard → Apps and click "Create New App". Give it a name (e.g. "My WordPress Site") and description. Select which contract templates you want to make available in the widget.
When you create an app, you get:
On the Apps page, each app card has a "Download ZIP" button. Click it to download a pre-configured WordPress plugin with your App ID already baked in — no need to copy/paste anything.
Upload the ZIP in WordPress, activate the plugin, and add [signetx] to any page. Full details in the Installation section below.
No coding required. The entire flow is: create account → add AI key → create app → download ZIP → install in WordPress → add shortcode. The widget handles everything else (template selection, form rendering, AI generation, download/sign).
The [signetx] shortcode accepts the following attributes. All are optional — defaults come from the plugin settings page.
| Attribute | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| app_id | string | From settings | Override the App ID for this widget instance |
| template | string | — | Template slug to pre-select (e.g. "nda", "msa") |
| primary_color | hex | From settings | Override brand color (e.g. "#ff6600") |
| width | CSS | 100% | Container width (any CSS value) |
| height | CSS | 600px | Container height (any CSS value) |
| font | string | — | Font family override (e.g. "Inter, sans-serif") |
| redirect_url | URL | — | URL to redirect to after contract generation |
Basic usage — uses settings defaults:
[signetx]Pre-select a specific template:
[signetx template="nda"]Custom colors, height, and font:
[signetx template="service-agreement" primary_color="#ff6600" height="800px" font="Inter, sans-serif"]Redirect after generation (e.g. to a thank-you page):
[signetx template="nda" redirect_url="/thank-you"]Use a different App ID on a specific page:
[signetx app_id="different-app-id" template="msa"]After activating the plugin, go to Settings → SignetX in your WordPress admin to configure:
Your SignetX App ID. Pre-filled if you downloaded the configured ZIP from the dashboard.
Brand color for buttons and accents in the widget.
Optional font override. Leave blank to use the default.
Set default width and height for all widgets.
The shortcode works in all major WordPress page builders:
In Elementor, use the Shortcode widget and paste [signetx]. In Divi, use the Code module. In Gutenberg, just type the shortcode in a paragraph block.
The shortcode renders a container and loads the SignetX embed script.
An iframe loads the SignetX widget, scoped to your App ID and configured templates. The widget is fully branded with your colors and logo.
The user selects a template, fills in the fields (parties, dates, jurisdiction, etc.), and clicks "Generate".
The contract is generated using the AI provider and API key configured in your SignetX developer account. The user sees the result inline.
If redirect_url is set, the user is redirected after generation. Otherwise, they can download, sign, or copy the contract directly from the widget.
Go to the Developer Dashboard and create or select an app. Your App ID is displayed on the app details page. If you download the plugin ZIP from the dashboard, the App ID is pre-configured.
